Anse Takamaka is the last accessable beach at the end of Baie Ste. Anne. It is located in a very quiet area and sheltered by pines and Takamaka Trees. The sea is always calm and without waves, which makes it safe for swimming. During low tide the water is very shallow and the beach surface becomes very soft. Relax while watching the ghost crabs running along the beachline, or observe curious stingrays expecting some food, usually swimming in pairs. There are seven hidden beaches behind large granite rocks at the west end. Those beaches are accessible only by boat, since no trail leads to them. The hotel Iles des Palmes rents kayaks and snorkelling equipment for excursions on a half-day basis.

Iles des Palmes

The hotel Iles des Palmes is built on the grounds of a former coconut plantation. The self-catering family units with two or three bedrooms and 12 bungalows are placed along the beach. Iles des Palmes is a very peaceful location and a good base to discover Praslin from. For reservations and further information please visit www.beachbungalow.sc.
