Anse Cimitiere is a very private beach with soft sand. Granite rocks of all sizes frame this 600 step long beach and are scattered along the waterline. During the southeast monsoon from May to October the ocean is wild and large waves may make swimming dangerous. At such times jump into a small natural jacuzzi on the south end. Protected by a giant granite rock this swimming pool is completely safe and private. The beach is only sparsely shaded by various palm trees. Ile aux Vachez can be seen on the horizon.

Access to Anse Cimitiere is quite hidden and therefore not easy to find. Next to the hotel Chateau d'Eau is the Riding Centre Utegangar where a small path leads into the forest. Follow the trail until you reach a small river and turn right. In about two minutes you are at the beach.
