This very beautiful beach is one of the most popular among tourists and is described in many books and guides. Holiday makers who are searching for a solitary beach will not find privacy here. Coconut palms arch over this 700 steps long superfine sand beach. Snorkelling and swimming conditions are very good. Giant granite rocks frame Anse Takamaka at both ends. The beach restaurant Chez Batista offers a great view of Baie Lazare.
